The Carver Legacy Continues
Carver is a Dutch automotive innovation that first captured global attention with its revolutionary tilting three-wheeler, blending the dynamics of a motorcycle with the comfort and safety of a car.
The concept was developed by Dutch engineer Chris van den Brink, co-founder of Carver Europe in the late 1990s. His vision was to create a narrow, agile vehicle that could lean into corners like a motorcycle—an idea brought to life in the iconic Carver One, launched in the early 2000s.
While the original Carver project gained a cult following, financial and production challenges meant that large-scale commercial success proved elusive. From Vision to Electric Innovation In recent years, Carver was reborn in an electric version, combining its unique tilting technology with modern EV performance.
This transition was supported by a new generation of partners who shared the original dream—and the technical knowledge to make it real. One of these key partners was LYNX ApS, a Danish company with strong roots in sustainable innovation and EV development. LYNX played a central role in the development of the first electric Carver, collaborating directly with Chris van den Brink and his engineering team.
LYNX ApS – Driving the Future of Carver In 2024, LYNX ApS acquired the rights to produce the Carver, including patents and IP, through a co-ownership in the Belgian firm KERV Automotive, which holds the legal and technical legacy of Carver following the Dutch company’s bankruptcy.
LYNX is now fully responsible for the revival and future production of the Carver. A relaunch is planned for Spring 2026, with full support for parts, service, and accessories for existing Carver vehicles already in operation across Europe.
With manufacturing partnerships being explored across Asia and Europe, and with an eye toward sustainable mobility, the new Carver will not only honor the past—it will define the future of urban transport.
LYNX
LYNX ApS is a Danish company based in Silkeborg that has acquired the rights to continue the production of the iconic three-wheeled electric Carver.
As co-founder and co-owner of the Belgian company KERV, which holds the patents and intellectual property rights to Carver, LYNX is now leading the relaunch of this unique vehicle.
We combine Scandinavian design principles, technical innovation, and sustainable mobility to bring the Carver back to the market—updated, refined, and ready for the future of urban transport.
LYNX collaborates closely with partners across Europe and Asia to ensure high quality, reliable service, and full spare parts support for both new and existing Carver owners.
in depth Test on Fully Charged
In their deep-dive review, the renowned Fully Charged Show took the Carver for a spin — and the verdict was clear: this isn’t just another electric vehicle. It’s a game-changing answer to urban congestion, rising emissions, and the need for smarter mobility.
“It tilts, it’s fun, it’s efficient — and it actually makes sense.”
That’s how the team summed up the Carver’s bold fusion of car-like comfort and scooter-like agility. Through rain, traffic, and tight corners, the Carver impressed with its unique Dynamic Vehicle Control system and fully electric drivetrain.
